A Shatec Institutes’ qualification

industry-focused programmes are designed to lead students through the

All full-time programmes (except the Higher Diploma in Hospitality
Management) include two components: Institutional Training (IT) and a
During IT, students learn the fundamental technical skills of the
industry through both theory and a practicum component at Shatec
Institutes’ training restaurants. The practicum module is intended to
complement students’ scholastic experience through the integration of
academic knowledge and applied skills within real-life settings.
The internship essentially constitutes full-time, on-the-job training
with leading establishments in the hospitality and tourism industry. As
a critical component of all our full-time programmes, Shatec Institutes
maintain links with over 100 hotels, resorts, and other hospitality and
tourism-related establishments in Singapore.
