The visual arts exhibition “Ladies” combines the works of two great artists in the same show: expressionist KWK a.k.a Khin Win Kyi's portrayal of daring and wild behaviours of women, and abstract artist Maung Myint Aung's paintings of timid obese women.

KWK needs no introduction, and is famous for her unique expressionist paintings inspired by Femininity. A majority of her paintings hide an interesting tale attributed in one way or another to women. In this Ladies series, she passionately captures the nature of sex appeal of wild women from diverse dimensions.

Maung Myint Aung is well-known by collectors all over the world for his one and only Distortion and Obesity series.

The exhibition was opened by the Ambassador His Excellency U Win Myint and distinguished Excellencies and AAG priority art collectors were attended on the 26th June, 2008. That Official launch was for two consecutive exhibitions for "6 Strokes" and "Ladies", not all the artworks of “Ladies” were there. For those of you who missed the actual exhibition of “Ladies”, please call May at 67 299 203 or email [email protected] for an advance appointment for viewing at AAG Studio.
